I have some of this groups older stuff around somewhere, but to be quite honest I don't really remember what it sounds like, but their recent stuff is very mellow, which I think is brilliant, and if I bought singles, I would definitely buy theirs. If they ever come to concert in Exeter or Plymouth you can expect to see me there!
I love this group, and along with a number of my friends was very upset when they had to cancel their charity gig at the Cavern in Exeter, as, although I hadn't yet bought a ticket, as soon as I heard about it we were going to ring up, but then it got cancelled. I can't believe that you wouldn't have heard them, but just in case, their music is very likeable, as it has very catchy tunes and is not too heavy, or too whiney! I like them (although I like most music), my Indie loving friends like them, and my brother likes them, and he's a dance music lover.
This group is also very mellow, and most people I know like them, as they are good to sit back and relax to. My Indie loving friends like them, my dance loving friends like them, I like them, and my friends who like boy bands like them. The one anomaly is my brother who can't stand them as he reckons their music all sounds the same, however I've tried to explain to him that it should have continuity to make it more mellow.
Another group whose songs are very catchy. This is one of the few bands that I actually like for both the lyrics and the tunes (most bands one or the other catches my attention more). Many of their songs are quite satirical, and they all actually make sense unlike some of the songs you hear around nowadays! This is one of the few bands that everybody seems to like, or at least I don't know of anybody who hates them!
A cross between rock and Irish music, this band are one of my farourates of all time. I've been to two of their concerts, and would have loved every minute of them both, had I not been throwing up. These are one of the few bands I bother buying the singles of.
