Eagle Eye Cherry - Save Tonight

This song grows on you and hasn't yet started to annoy me! I don't buy many singles, but this is one that I couldn't resist. I bought it at Virgin Mega Stores, after they had been playing it, along with ten other listeners. Unfortunately, I guess it didn't have that effect on everyone otherwise it would have topped the charts for a long time.

Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U

This song has got to be one of the most popular songs I know. Although I do not know many people who actually have it on single, I do not know anybody who does not like it! All of my friends (who have very different tastes in music in some cases!) have it as one of their favorite songs. I, myself, absolutely love it, although if I'm, already depressed it does make me cry sometimes! (ok, I'm a wuss!)

The Rembrandts - I'll be there for you

The song of "friends" fame, and another catchy song that many people seem to like. It has been released some number of times (Hey, I lose count!), and I hate to admit that I failed to actually buy the single any of those times! (I copied it from an Ex-boyfriend.)

Red Hot chilli Peppers - Under the bridge

The original song that was copied by the All Saints. In my view (and in my friends' general view), the original can not be bettered! It is a great song that I never could get sick of. It took me a long time to find somebody who had it, but once I did and had borrowed the tape, he never got it back again! Definitely another of the great songs on my favorite list!

Tori Amos - Cornflake Girl

I absolutely love this song, but I only know two people who have it, and that is on a compilation album, I do not know one person who has the single, and it is really annoying because I really want it! In my opinion this song is unique, it is unlike any other I've ever heard, the only one that sounds even slightly like it is Spark By the same artist, and I think that is what makes this song so brilliant, and well worth the money if I could find a copy of it anywhere.

Fat Les - Vin-da-loo

Okay, most of the songs I've written about here I have liked, but this song has to be one of the most irritating ones that I have heard. When it came out one of my close friends kept shouting vindaloo in my general direction because he thought it was funny, even though I had already told him that I hated the song. Then as I threatened to kill somebody for singing it in a lesson, the whole maths set started singing it. However, now it doesn't quite annoy me as much as it first did, and I have an album with it on, but if you bought a copy, if I ever get my hands on you, YOU DIE!!!

The Levellers - Elation

I love this group, and I went to see them at concert, and they were absolutely brilliant. The only problem is, I got very hot and almost fainted so I had to get out of the room, and me and some of my wonderful friends missed this song as I was throwing up! I was gutted, it is my favorite song by them, and if they ever let it out it is definitely worth buying, even if you don't like their type of music really. It is a lot less heavy than a lot of their songs, and it is incredibly relaxing.

TLC - No Scrubs

With this song it seems that most people either love it or hate it, but I've found that is true for pretty much all of TLC's songs. I love it, I like the tune and I like the lyrics, so I would tell everybody to buy it. However, one of my friends absolutely hates it, basically because she has to disagree with anything I say.
